Mehler starts producing tarpaulins, tents and tissues in Fulda/Germany.

1880s

OLBO starts producing industrial textiles in Solingen/Germany.

1930s

MEHLER starts producing woven technical fabrics as reinforcement for rubber-based products.

2006

OLBO INDUSTRIAL TEXTILES and MEHLER ENGINEERED PRODUCTS merge under the brand MEP-OLBO.

2014

MEP-OLBO re-splits into 2 companies: OLBO & MEHLER and MEHLER ENGINEERED PRODUCTS. OLBO & MEHLER’s business scope focuses on woven fabrics for technical applications.

2015

INOVA TEXTIL awards OLBO & MEHLER in the category ‘Fabrics’ for its patented customized basalt fabric, which can be used for high temperature applications up to 700 °C (1350 °F).

2016

OLBO & MEHLER and SYNTEEN & LÜCKENHAUS, both companies owned by KAP Beteiligungs-AG, merge under the OLBO & MEHLER brand. The new OLBO & MEHLER develops and manufactures woven technical fabrics for various end-use markets including Indutech, Mobiltech, Buildtech, Geotech, Agrotech, Protech. Medtech and Sporttech.

2017

OLBO & MEHLER TEX NORTH AMERICA relocates its regional sales office and warehouse hub to Charlotte, NC.

The KAIZEN INSTITUTE awards OLBO & MEHLER with the KAIZEN LEAN AWARD 2017 in the category ‘Overall efficiency increase’.
